

I would happily trade off 30-60 minutes of battery life for the option of BTO'ing 32 or 64GB of RAM. (Kaby Lake will support LPDDR4, but those chips aren't out yet)īasically, it's literally impossible for Apple to make what we want, without sacrificing battery life. To get past 16GB, they need to switch to DDR4, and the Intel chipset they're using doesn't support low-power DDR4.

My guess is that Apple is going to put a virtual touch screen on the track pad in the future once costs come down. I confess I don't quite understand the bigger trackpad.

I'm also interested in the larger trackpad-I currently use the first-generation Magic Trackpad (or Mighty Trackpad, whatever) at my desk, which is bigger than the prior laptop trackpads, I think it will be helpful for me to have increased granularity there.
